Burdock Root Capsule, Extract or Tea

| October 11, 2011

Burdock root is the common burr; that’s right, that sticky thing that clings to your dog (and you) when you take a walk in the wild.  This herb is an excellent blood cleanser and one I like for acne, psoriasis and other itchy skin conditions.  It is also an excellent antihistamine so if you think you’ve had an allergic reaction (hives or itching), take burdock root.  Burdock root is also used in cooking, particularly in Japanese dishes.  This is such a valuable herb to have for hives or allergic reactions, that I also suggest keeping the extract on hand as it gets into your system in less than a minute.  If you are highly susceptible to reactions, carry it with you at all times.
