Devil’s Claw Tuber

| January 31, 2013

devils clawDevil’s Claw has anti-inflammatory and blood cleansing properties. It is useful for joint pain from arthritis, rheumatism, abscess and even injury because it removes mineral deposits in the joints. It aids in the elimination of uric acid – thus relieving gout and gouty arthritis (the kind of gout that travels beyond the foot). Devil’s Claw is also used in many formulas to relieve inflammatory liver and gall bladder problems, plus it appears to stimulate the gall bladder, making it a useful herb for gallstones. I particularly like to use this herb when I have any lymph node swelling as it quickly opens them  to permit drainage and to reduce swelling.
