OmegaThe essential fatty acids promote heart health and brain function and are nutrients that must be obtained from outside sources such as food or supplements.   They are such important nutrients for the brain that you always find them in the ingredients of natural supplements for ADD and ADHD.  At one time it was thought that only the omega 3 oils were needed but later research determined that 3-6-9 was better.  A supplement that is a complete essential fatty acid (EFA) will have all three and usually come from both fish oil and seed oil.
