magnesiumMagnificent Magnesium, or at least that is the way I think of it.  It is involved in so many important body functions that I think everyone should supplement magnesium.  Magnesium activates many enzymes and functions in the body including heart regularity, muscle contraction, asthma and COPD and many others.  Higher doses of magnesium can end constipation-sometimes with diarrhea.  Magnesium and B6 are recommended for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome.  Low levels of magnesium are indicated in fatigue, angina, high blood pressure, and migraines to name a few.  Diuretics, antacids and insulin can reduce your magnesium.  Food sources are apples, lemons, figs, kale, celery, whole grains and yellow corn to name a few.
