serineParkinson’s Disease is caused by damage to the nerves that control muscle tension and movement.  These nerve cells normally produce the neurotransmitter dopamine; in their damaged state they cannot or cannot produce enough.  Traditional medical treatment usually involves providing dopamine.  Parkinson’s display a tremor, a shuffling walk or even a stumbling walk because the person cannot totally control muscle movement.  The cause is unknown but it is believed that a neurotoxin is the culprit.  What that neurotoxin is, is unknown.  There are different levels of severity and it can even get to the point where the person has a frozen expression, unable to control the muscles of the face.

There is no known medical cure but there is medical treatment.  While undergoing treatment, there are some supplements that can be very beneficial.  Phosphatidylserine regulates the transfer of neurotransmitters in the brain.  This supplement is highly recommended for any brain condition,  including ADD and Alzheimer’s.  It would be worth trying at least one bottle.  The supplementation with antioxidants before the condition exists can possibly act as a preventative.  Vitamin C and Vitamin E are especially beneficial for Parkinson’s Disease.
