Sodium – Sea Salt

| February 11, 2013

sea saltYou do need sodium in your diet though maybe not the way you’re getting it now.  Chips, pretzels, salted canned vegetables, and prepared foods are loaded with sodium chloride and if you eat a lot of these things, you are getting too much–of the wrong kind.  The right kind of sodium is found in “sea salt,” which is unprocessed and loaded with other minerals.  You need sodium for your blood and muscles to function normally, low sodium can increase pain, and sodium normalizes glandular functions and the lymph system.  People can be low in sodium either from their diet or from excessive heat or sweating–resulting in heat or sun stroke.  Change this one little eating habit by going to mineral rich sea salt and you may change your health.
