Ceramic Vegetable Peeler

| September 14, 2013

ceramic peelerThe ceramic vegetable peeler is the sharpest, most versatile peeler I’ve ever used.  I love it as much as the ceramic knife.  The micro serrated blade makes it as sharp as a razor (and it stays sharp); and the adjustable head makes it comfortable for the person who peels with a push or with a pull.  I do both depending on what I’m peeling.  The peels come off paper thin, no waste here and it’s even great for peeling celery should you get a bunch that is too stringy.  I also like it for peeling winter squash which has a hard shell.  No problem for the ceramic peeler, it glides through like butter.  This is where I use the “pull” in peeling.  You can also get a ceramic mandolin.
