Jean Carper, author of “The Food Pharmacy,” is a well known nutritionist and author. All medicines come from food, including the prescriptions the doctor gives you. Prescriptions are chemical copies of some characteristic that food has exhibited that had healing properties. The chemical copy has a long list of side effects; most foods have no side effects (unless you’re allergic). This book will help you to realize just how important your food is and hopefully inspire you to a more careful selection of what you eat. A Big Mac is not food; a tomato sandwich on whole grain bread is real food and easy to make.
