Gymnema Sylvestre

| December 30, 2013

gymnestraGymnema Sylvestre has over 2,000 years of success in treating diabetes and is especially successful in insulin dependent diabetes.  Careful records and clinical research done primarily in India support this plant’s use.  It apparently acts in two ways.  First, it blocks the taste of sweet in your mouth.  If that cookie doesn’t taste sweet, you might not bother eating it.  Second, it blocks the absorption of sugar in the colon.  This herb also affects the taste of bitter, so bitter doesn’t taste quite so bad.  It has proven to be a very safe adjunct to any diabetes treatment.
