parsley1parsley2That little green plant on your plate isn’t  just for decoration, it’s health food.  Parsley!   Parsley is a blood purifier and it’s rich green color tells you that it’s high in chlorophyll which makes it a good breath freshener after your meal.  Besides, it’s loaded with nutrients including Vitamin A, iron, copper and manganese .  A tea made from dried parsley is a good diuretic and is one of the ingredients in my Kidney Tea.   It is a biennial plant growing the first year, then growing even bigger and setting seed the second year, then dieing.  You see 2 kinds of fresh parsley in the grocery store.  Flat leaf Italian parsley and dark green curled parsley.  The Italian parsley has a milder flavor than the curled–but both are good and would love to be in your garden.
