| November 24, 2014

AniseAnise, that small green seed with the mild licorice flavor, is a powerhouse of talents.  It promotes digestion, relieves gas and nausea, improves appetite, and relieves colic in infants.  For an infant, steep the seeds in hot water a few minutes, cool to warm then feed the baby with a bottle of anise water.  Anise tea also promotes milk production in nursing mothers.  Anise is an easily grown annual plant and will not only provide you with ample seed, but also will reseed itself for next years crop.
