cocoaCocoa, in the form of dark (milk free) chocolate is a healthy food. It is high in plant sterols which help lower cholesterol. The caffeine in cocoa is useful in preventing asthma attacks. It can reduce blood pressure and maintain the health of arteries and veins. The cocoa fruit is full of seeds which are extracted, washed, roasted, then pressed. The result is cocoa butter and the solids which can make cocoa powder. When the cocoa powder is recombined with some cocoa butter and sugar you have chocolate. The cocoa butter is eaten by some but mostly used as a skin moisturizer.
