Grindelia is used for bronchitis (internally) and topically for eczema, insect bites and rashes. Grindelia has a gummy resin that was historically used as an expectorant and antitussive in cough remedies. Grindelia, which grows wild in the Western states, is better known for it’s use in ointments and field dressings for rashes, poison ivy, burns, and insect bites.
