strawflower

It is the essential oil, known as helichrysum, that is most commonly used especially in formulas for skin as this herb is noted for its ability to stimulate new skin growth. It has pain relieving properties and is anti-inflammatory. It’s a wonderful annual garden flower producing brilliantly colored flowers that “live on” long after the plant has died. The dried flowers can be used in flower arrangements, wreaths or left strewed in the garden for bright spots.
