Honeysuckle Vine

| August 19, 2016

honeysuckle

Honeysuckle flower is an important ingredient in many traditional Chinese remedies especially for respiratory infection, colds, and skin inflammation. The remedy can be simply prepared by using the flowers to make a tea. Be careful not to include any other part of the plant (leaves, stems or fruit) as these can be toxic. In the U.S., the vine is used for ornamental use such as making wreaths. The plant is a vigorous grower and can become invasive and hard to get rid of if you’ve found it’s taken over.
